The Challenge
A global leader in sustainable water treatment technologies, renowned for its range of solutions across the energy and industrial manufacturing sectors, engaged Viridis to conduct a feasibility study relating to the efficient degradation of Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in water.
Our Approach
Viridis conducted controlled laboratory experiments simulating real-world contamination scenarios by testing water solutions spiked with Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The results demonstrated strong efficacy of Viridis' technology in eliminating PFAS from wastewater, with superior performance compared to standard electro-oxidation reactors (Maldonado et al. (2020))
The Results
The Challenge
A global fashion powerhouse with ambitious commitments to reduce water consumption across its supply chain engaged Viridis to assess the viability of incorporating our technology into its dyeing and finishing processes. The key objective was to eliminate dyes and colorants, and to reduce organic contaminants to acceptable levels for water recycling and reuse.
Our Approach
Viridis designed a process whereby contaminated water from textile dyeing machines was treated using Viridis’ technology. Viridis’ system eliminated dyes, colorants and other organic contaminants from the water to allow decontaminated water to be fed back into dye equipment for reuse.

The Challenge
An innovative biofuel company dedicated to transforming end-of-life wood and biomass into renewable biofuels faced a critical environmental management challenge: its production processes generated complex wastewater laden with persistent organic contaminants. The company engaged Viridis to determine the efficacy of its technology in reducing organic contamination in its wastewater stream.
Our Approach
Viridis applied its electro-oxidation technology to the company's wastewater challenge, deploying a specialized reactor with dual double-faced electrodes. Utilizing wastewater samples provided by the client, Viridis conducted rigorous laboratory assessment that systematically degraded organic contaminants.
